Casual observations say there is no downturn in the businesses in both countries. Restaurants are busy and no one seems to feel the need to cut prices. In fact there has been an upward trend to pricing. On the other hand hotel occupancies are miserable showing the true picture. All corporate travel is at a standstill, and tourism holidays are taken closer to home. Wise hoteliers are using this time to invest in training, for those who do will recover more quickly. Those that wait till times are better will fall in the trap of “No time for training, too busy”
